Would you like me to draw your OC? Want a portrait of your D&D party? Looking to treat a loved one for their birthday or an anniversary? You've come to the right place! Keep reading for all the information you need...

(Or, if you've commissioned me before, click the button below to jump directly to the form!)

So, you want to commission me...
How does it work?

1. Apply for a commission slot

Send me a commission request form to let me know what you'd like. (You can find the form at the bottom of this page!)

I'll get back to you as soon as possible with a price and a booking slot for your commission.

2. Send your references and pay

You'll receive an invoice for your commission on the first working day of the month you're booked in for. All payments are due upfront and you can pay via PayPal invoice, Zettle invoice or bank transfer.

This is also when you should send over any reference images you'd like me to work from!

3. Two to three approval stages

Once work on your commission has started, I'll send you a WIP preview at each major production stage for you to approve or request any changes to. The number of WIPs will vary depending on the complexity of your commission, but there will usually be two to three:

  • Sketch stage

  • Lines and flats stage

  • Shading and final touches stage
    (if commission is fully shaded)

4. Receive your high res. files

Once you've signed off on the final preview of your commission, I'll send you two high-resolution versions of the finished artwork: one for digital use and one that's suitable for printing.

5. All done!

And now you've got your finished commission! Huzzah! It's that simple :)

FAQ

(You can also read my full terms of service here.)

Are your commission slots limited? Yes! I usually open five slots a month.

What if I don't get one of your commission slots? Don’t worry! I'll let you know if that's the case. You'll be added to my waiting list so I can give you first refusal on a slot for a future month instead.

How can I find out if you're opening commission slots? You can join my newsletter mailing list or follow me on Instagram, Bluesky or Tumblr for announcements!

What kinds of commissions do you do? The main types of commission I offer are character art/portraits and illustrated scenes, although if you have something else in mind, I’m always open to discussion! I will draw: - OCs (original characters) and fanart (please note that, unless you hold an officially granted IP license, any and all fanart commissions will fall strictly under the ‘personal use’ category only!). - Artwork depicting real people and animals. - Illustrated scenes. - Depictions of gore and violence, where contextually applicable, may be agreed to at my discretion. I will not draw: - Explicit NSFW content. - Furry. - Mecha. If you’re looking to hire me for commercial work, please feel free to contact me directly.

How long does a commission take? In terms of exact timing, it depends entirely on what you’re commissioning! But I’ll always aim to have a commission finished and the final artwork over to you within 30 working days. Work on your commission will only commence once payment has been received.

What if I need a commission ready by a specific date? If you need a commission finished and back with you in a specific timeframe, let me know when we’re discussing the details. I can’t promise I’ll always be able to accommodate a fast turnaround but will do my best if possible. (‘Rush’ turnarounds can be done for an additional fee depending on the circumstances, but if you want something guaranteed for a certain date, it’s always best to let me know in plenty of time!)

What if I want to ask for changes or adjustments to the artwork? My prices take into account that you might want a few minor changes or amendments made as your commission comes together. What do I mean by ‘minor’ changes? For example: - Adjusting the shape of a character’s nose. (Request should be made at the sketch approval stage when the change is easy to make!) - Adjusting the colour of a garment so that it's a brighter or darker shade of its current colour. (Request should be made at the lineart & flat colours approval stage.) - Changing a character’s hand position once. (Request should be made at the sketch approval stage.) If minor edits become excessive, are requested past the stage at which they’re easy to make, or if you ask for major edits which deviate from or change details specified in our initial discussion of your commission, I’ll ask for additional fees in line with what’s being requested. Major edits would include things like: - Changing a character’s pose. - Asking for an additional item to be drawn in. - Asking for significant changes to a character’s outfit. For a full explanation of my policy on changes and amendments during the commission process, please make sure to read my terms of service.

What's the difference between 'personal use' & 'commercial use'? With a commission intended for ‘personal use’, you can do things like post the artwork to social media (with artist credit) or make a print of the artwork to hang on your wall or give as a gift. You can’t, however, use or reproduce the artwork for profit; this would include things like producing prints of it that you intend to sell, or putting it on a t-shirt that people can buy! With a commission intended for ‘commercial use’, you can do things like reproducing the artwork to sell as prints, use it in for-profit publications (such as a magazine or a TTRPG rulebook), or on merchandising. For a full breakdown of what ‘personal use’ & ‘commercial’ use entail, please make sure to read my terms of service.
